TATTOO AFTERCARE

We take pride in every tattoo we create. Proper aftercare is essential to ensure your tattoo heals well and looks great for years to come.

Follow these guidelines carefully. If you have any questions during the healing process, feel free to CONTACT US.

WHAT TO DO

• Your artist will clean the tattoo and apply a sterile bandage when the tattoo is finished.

• After about two hours, remove the bandage.

• Wash your hands before touching your tattoo.

• Gently wash the tattoo using warm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Remove any excess ink, blood, or plasma.

• Pat the tattoo dry with a clean paper towel. Do not rub.

• Apply a very small amount of Hustle Butter Deluxe 2–3 times per day during the first 3 days, or whenever the skin feels tight or dry.

• Continue washing the tattoo regularly to keep it clean.

• After 3 days, switch from Hustle Butter Deluxe to a fragrance-free lotion such as Lubriderm.

• Continue moisturizing and washing as needed for about two weeks, or until the tattoo is fully healed.

• Some peeling or flaking (similar to a sunburn) is completely normal during healing.

WHAT TO AVOID.

Do not let your tattoo dry out completely.

Do not apply too much ointment. Your skin needs to breathe.

Avoid direct sunlight or tanning beds while your tattoo is healing.

Do not pick or scratch peeling skin.

Avoid soaking the tattoo in water (baths, pools, hot tubs, ocean, etc.) until it is fully healed.

Avoid tight clothing that may rub or irritate the tattoo. Loose, soft fabrics are best.

GENERAL HEALING

Most tattoos heal within 1–3 weeks.

During this time you may experience:

mild soreness (similar to a sunburn)
light scabbing or peeling
itching during later healing stages

These are normal parts of the healing process.

If swelling occurs, elevating the area or applying a covered ice pack can help. Over-the-counter pain relief may also help, but usually minimal intervention is best.

Everyone heals differently. Pay attention to how your skin responds and adjust care if necessary.

SIGNS OF INFECTION

Although rare, infection can occur if bacteria enters the area.

Watch for:

redness spreading beyond the tattoo
swelling that lasts more than two days
unusual heat from the area
increasing pain instead of improvement
fever or feeling run down
