OUR TATTOO MISSION STATEMENT 

Tattoos are magic!

When we seek out a tattooer, we are looking to change something about ourselves, to add something, improve something, decorate something, cover something.  We want a lion to feel powerful, a snake to feel dangerous, flowers to feel pretty, quotes to live by, and memorials to help us remember, honor and heal.  Tattooing transfers that energy from artist to client in an intimate way, one giving, the other receiving.  One causing pain while the other allows it, both understanding the outcome is the best of their combined energy!

Our mission at Red rocket Tattoo is to honor the original magic of tattooing.

The original tattooers were the shaman and healers and we remember the responsibility we have to each of you as our clients in this modern world.  We understand the trust you put in our abilities to bring you the magic, and put our best selves into every project.  We work on building relationships to better understand your ideas, thoughts, hopes, and dreams and bring you the very best overall experience as you go through your tattoo transformation!

We are judgement free, respecting each project as important to you, large or small.

26 YEARS ON 36TH STREET!

26 Years ago, Mike Bellamy and Sean Vasquez (R.I.P.) opened Triple X Tattoo with a small group of young and hopeful tattooers with the humble goal of bringing great tattoos to all people.  This was the Late 90's and we were a close group of vagabonds, travelers, and artists who lived the lifestyle. We walked the walk.

Red Rocket Tattoo evolved from the wild rock and roll days of Triple X Tattoo to become the best known tattoo studio smack in the center of Manhattan!  Right on the 6th Avenue corner overlooking Herald Square and Macy's, in the shadow of The Empire State Building, Red Rocket Tattoo has the experience.  We know the block.  We've been around it!  We know the business.  We've been around that too!

We are proud to have independent artists bringing their experience, talent, and style from all over the globe and right here at home in the good old U.S.A.!  Red Rocket is a true and changing melting pot of tattooers and artists interested in learning and growing together.

ALL STYLES-YOU WANT IT, WE CAN DO IT!

With 7 artists to choose from. O.G. to New Blood, we have your style covered.  While every artist is versatile, each has a specialty style of their own they can't wait to share with you.  All artists are trained custom tattoo artists and can create your idea for you.  You are welcome to have your tattoo custom designed, choose an awesome flash design, or bring your image or ideas.

GUEST ARTISTS!

We love having guest artists come through on a regular basis.  We welcome new styles and stories and enjoy making new friends along the way.  Guest artists are a great way to open yourself up to the art and ideas from other countries and connect with the global tattoo community.

WE MAINTAIN RIGOROUS STANDARDS OF SANITIZATION AND SAFETY.

We have developed rigorous, State Compliant procedures allowing us to minimize risk and increase our HEALTH SAFETY STANDARDS.  The Tattoo Industry already has health safety standards on the level of a doctor's office.  All of our artists are trained in UNIVERSAL PRECAUTIONS AND CROSS CONTAMINATION PROCEDURES and are LICENSED BY THE NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE.  We know how!
