WHY SHANNON RITCHIE?

A long, long time ago… Shannon Ritchie was actually young. Tempered in the turmoil of the far off realm of Missouri, our would be hero learned the art of Flesh Weaving in the gloom of Richard’s Garage…. Wielding the Irons of Mickey Sharps and harnessing the knowledge of Skin Magick by way of the newly discovered Interwebs, this soon to be Skin Mage used the minimal wisdom he had to inflict painful artwork on his pseudo peers. It was a typical excercise at best, but a step down a road that would shape a young man into….well….

Undaunted by his early practices, Shannon continued to expand his knowledge in the realm of Artistic Augmentation. This artwork he called…. TATTOOING

A small studio in the southern reaches of Springfield, Missouri aided our would be hero in his quest. North of the Ozark Mountains, in the depths of the worst part of the world, this soon to be Sorcerer or Skin perfected his craft.

Acquiring what he could from the artists in that Dread part of the Realm our Champion travelled even further south… to the shores of New Orleans….

Fabled for its Mysticism and Other Worldliness our Hero was drawn to the allure of this Crescent City. Honing his craft, Shannon learned from many fabled fellow artists. He was honored to count those he learned from as friends as well as tutors.

Unfortunately the Gods had elsewise plans, as a Storm struck the fabled Big Easy and sent the citizens spiraling. Our protagonist found himself in yet another Dismal Den of Debauchery… the Dreaded Dick of the Domain…. Florida.

Shannon was unfortunately retained in Florida for some time… but continued to expand his artistic journey of Flesh Weaving…. And during this time he also dabbled in game design and developed as a sequential storyboard artist (guy made comic books)….

He also got the best dog in the world. Fafinette lived a long healthy 14 years… during that time they moved to the Frozen North, the home of Spiders, Turtles, Ghosts and Mutants… New York City. Currently honing his craft at RED ROCKET TATTOOS Shannon continues his practice in all forms of artwork…..

Shannon was the first to collaborate with Stan Lee to create a unique tattoo for the Stan Lee Foundation , has worked with Wizards of the Coast, IDW, multiple independent creators and game designers such as ShadowDark….

Shannon would tattoo not only at Tattoo Conventions, but also Comic and Horror Cons, like C2E2 in Chicago (where the best pizza is… he said what he said) ,HorrorHound and MegaCon…but his main drive was always to cause pain in the most artistic way possible…. This form of body artwork known in the realm…. As Scribble Scrabble! …er… I mean Tattooing.
